Nuclear Effects Subject Matter Expert for RFIs

Description: Provide Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) to The Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA), Nuclear Effects Division. In support of the Nuclear Effects Program, serve as a subject matter expert in technical aspects of nuclear weapon effects and modeling and simulation of nuclear planning and execution. Coordinate and integrate the agencies response to nuclear effects-related requests for information from the Combatant Commands, DoD Agencies, and Services. Work with the Government Staff and Nuclear Effects Users to provide support to address gaps in nuclear effects modeling. Serve as a subject matter expert to direct innovative research in modeling effects from high-altitude nuclear detonations. Present scientific and engineering principles supporting proposed research and development. Analyze technical approaches to meeting operational requirements and inquiries for nuclear effects and filling capability gaps, and develop research strategy to close these gaps. Support development of program plans for nuclear effects technology areas. Actively engage and assist with the Nuclear Effects Division research performed by national labs, academia, and industry. Provide technical advice to other related programs inside and, when appropriate, outside the office. Collaborate as a member of the Nuclear Effects Division and advise on/support the projects of the other program managers. Help oversee and contribute to numerous research and development projects that the agency sponsors at national laboratories and industry. Assist with acquisition actions, including MIPRs with DoD performers, IACROs with other Federal agencies, contracts with industry, and grants with academia. Respond to interagency, DoD, and DTRA taskers. Participate in interagency meetings; lead meetings as required. Assist the Nuclear Effects Office Division with programmatics and administration as needed. Qualifications: - A Masters Degree in Physics, Engineering, or a related discipline. - Seeking a professional with advanced degree, seven years work experience or relevant internship at a national lab or industry. - The successful candidate will have a proven ability Desired Qualifications: - Experience working with DoD, other Federal Agencies, Industry, and National Laboratories is desired. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
