Lead Systems Engineer - Requirements with Security Clearance

Responsibilities/Qualification Position Summary The Systems Engineer will play a key role within a Government customer program team in the requirements development and implementation of the Agencies- highest priority development program. The engineer will work within a geographically and organizationally dispersed team (both Government and industry) to assist in the design, development, integration, test and delivery of a worldwide system that will serve the needs of both tactical and strategic users in all aspects of the Defense Security Cooperation mission. Main Responsibilities: Requirements development - under the leadership of senior technical personnel, the candidate will: Evaluate current operational and functional requirements, and assess ongoing design/development activities to ensure that requirements can be met Advise senior technical personnel regarding the need to modify/refine requirements for ongoing design/development efforts, as necessary In an evolutionary development environment, assist in development of requirements for subsequent phases of development and capability delivery Work with other Government requirements agencies to coordinate requirements development efforts, and advise senior technical personnel on recommended technical positions for the Agency Work with other Government development agencies to coordinate design and development plans and activities, and advise senior technical personnel regarding any misalignment between development efforts and requirements fulfillment Full Systems Engineering lifecycle - under the leadership of senior technical personnel, the candidate will: Evaluate all aspects of the systems engineering process from requirements to test/verification, and ensure that all parties are adhering to Systems Engineering best practices Assist with reviewing test plans/procedures to ensure that requirements will be fully verified Participate in design review and integration activities Documentation: Assist in preparation of input to technical reports, status reports, letters, technical memoranda, and formal briefings. Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned. Education and Experience: Bachelor-s degree in Engineering or related discipline: 8+ years of experience in overall Systems Engineering positions Minimum 4 years of experience focused on requirements development and implementation Degree(s) must be in engineering, computer science, mathematics or a related discipline Excellent customer service skills Desired (but not required) skills: Knowledge/awareness of data architectures and integration of data from multiple sources into a single system. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
