Network-based Technical Analyst with Security Clearance

Raytheon Intelligence and Information Services (IIS) - Cyber Security & Special Missions (CSM) has an immediate opening for Network-based Technical Analyst to support the customer team. The ideal candidate for this job will be an experienced information security practitioner who is goal-oriented and strives to exceed expectations. Job Description Knowledge of CND policies, procedures, and regulations; and Knowledge of defense-in-depth principles and general attack stages with respect to network security architecture; and Ability to characterize and analyze network traffic to identify anomalous activity and potential threats to network resources; and Identify and analyze anomalies in network traffic using metadata; and Reconstruct a malicious attack or activity based on network traffic; and Examine network topologies to understand data flows through the network; and Knowledge of network device integrity concepts and methodologies; and Skill in preserving evidence integrity according to standard operating procedures or national standards. Provide support assessments of projected cyber risk; make predictions about threats to federal networks and critical infrastructure sectors, and conduct case studies. Provide assistance to ensure realistic technical considerations are incorporated into initiative planning and execution. Provide support to the adoption and/or implementation of Federal and national standards or guidance to enhance training and skills development for the Federal workforce. Develop tools that help define, observe, and assess actions that move the program toward strategic goals both affordably and speedily, including the development and presentation of capability and technology roadmaps. Supporting the development and maintenance of Continuity of Operations (COOP) Plans and other operations planning documentation. Providing technical assistance in the development of Business Impact Analyses (BIA), Business Continuity Plans (BCPs), and Disaster Recovery Plans (DRPs). Provide engineering and technical support services to functional groups to include providing specific tool studies, systems analyses, testing and evaluation, and to supplement operational technical assistance as required. Provide support to programming code reviews, determining system performance specifications, identifying and resolving interoperability problems, developing requirements, determining parameters, and resolving conflicts between disparate technologies as they arise. Provide engineering and technical assistance support to include technical support for current, proposed, and potential cybersecurity related mission objectives. Provide subject matter expertise to assist with matters to include strategies for improving resource allocation, alignment of work, and improving work-life balance for employees. REQUIRED SKILLS: Demonstrated to advanced operational experience as an Incident Manager Experience in providing leadership and vision in incident handling, response, and analysis. Must be hands-on and have intimate knowledge and experience in cybersecurity, incident response, and analysis; digital forensics; security vulnerabilities/weaknesses and related attacks; network security issues and encryption technologies; management of lab environments to include flyaway kits. Demonstrated to advanced experience of current threats, vulnerabilities, and attack trends Critical thinking and problem solving skills Demonstrated to advanced experience working directly with customers to transfer Threat Hunting knowledge Possess good time management and written and oral communications skills DESIRED SKILLS/CERTIFICATIONS: GNFA, GCIH REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: This position require a Bachelor-s degree in a related discipline with a minimum of six (6) years directly related experience. Equivalent years of directly related experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirements. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
