Outreach Manager

The Outreach Manager will provide expert leadership ofoutreach activities and strategic communications on behalf a senior OSDcustomer. The position requires close interaction with senior leadershipstaff within the Pentagon and across the Department of Defense (DoD)acquisition community, including Components, industry partners, academia,international partners, and associations. In coordination with seniorgovernment leadership, the outreach manager will work with the team to achieveorganizational goals and objectives by administering the communications andpublic relations initiatives as determined by the larger organizationalstrategic planning process; advance the importance of systems engineering withrelevant constituents (government, industry, academia, international partners);develop and enhance meaningful relationships with targeted, high-level externalassociations and organizations.
Duties Include:
In coordination with leadership, develop a strategic communications plan for the customer.
Facilitate engagement with the defense acquisition community by sponsoring the DoD Systems Engineering Forum.
Coordinate with leadership to arrange, to host and/or represent the office as speakers at technical conferences and symposia.
Support meetings with industry at senior leadership levels.
Serve as editor for the development, production, and maintenance of the organization's internal and external communication vehicles.
Develop and execute tactical strategic communications plans for customer initiatives, publications, and articles using varied and integrated products.
Manage and monitor engagements with technical and professional organizations.
Provide outreach support to international cooperative engagements including foreign delegation visits, NATO, and The Technical Cooperation Program.
Support academic community outreach activities.
Organize technical experts from government, industry, and academia to lead more than 10 sponsored webinars per year.
Active Secret clearance.
Possess experience providing strategic communications and public affairs support to senior-level management
Bachelor's plus 10 years of experience.
10 years of experience working in the defense acquisition community (industry, military, government civilian, or contract support); preferably direct experience with an engineering organization.
Ability to exhibit professionalism and discretion in performing a variety of duties and interacting with various levels of staff across multiple locations.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, prioritization, and organizational skills; proven ability to assess, select, and use a variety of methods and tools.
Experience in planning and coordinating technical reviews, panels, or similar meetings with diverse participants; experience in preparing, coordinating, and presenting briefings.
Experience with Microsoft Office software.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
